A. Other floor covering materials simply can't compare to the natural beauty of hardwood flooring. Hardwood floors outperform and outlast almost any other floor covering material.

Natural, Renewable and Eco - Friendly, wood floors do not involve quarrying, blasting, mining or heavy chemical processes, and hence are more earth friendly than most other flooring materials

Q2. Are wood floors expensive?

A. Wood floors are much like other flooring materials in that there are many different price points. There are inexpensive wood floors and there are more costly wood floors. But...when you compare the life cycle of wood floors versus other floor covering material, then you realize just how inexpensive wood floors really are. Most wood floors will last a lifetime while the average lifespan of carpet is 7-9 years. So you could replace carpet 3 or 4 times in a 30-year period, while simply maintaining one wood floor.

Floor Coverings like vitrified Tiles, and PVC Flooring become dirty over a period of time and cannot be refinished and thus need to be replaced. Also Floor coverings like Marble and granite get scratched easily and though can be refinished, are not hassle free and generate a lot of muck, for days together.

Q3. What are natural chracteristics of a wood floor?

A. The natural characteristics of wood include the grain pattern, dark gray or black marks and knots of various sizes. They are a result of the growth process of a particular species and are influenced by sunlight, soil and climate. Minerals can appear in several forms such as a light gray streak across a board to black lines in the grain. The same holds true for grain patterns and knots.

A. No, wood as a natural product varies from piece to piece. It is not fabricated, it is milled from a tree and will have grain and color variations consistent with the grade and species of flooring selected.

A. Wood floors can be installed almost anywhere . The only places where we do not recommend wood flooring is in wet areas of the bath and kitchen.

A. Yes. All hardwood floors can be resanded and refinished to restore its original gleam and thus giving a completely new look.

Q10. Can both Hardwood floors or EngineeredFloors be sanded and refinished?

A. Both hardwood floors and Engineered Floors can be sanded and refinished. The exact number depends upon the total thickness of the product or the thickness of the top layer of premium hardwood, as in an engineered product. With this process, the contractor sands the entire finish off the floor, and then begins to rebuild the finish surface. This procedure can take up to four days, depending upon the size of the space.

Q11. How does Bamboo Flooring compare to Hardwood flooring?

A. Bamboo flooring compares favorably to, hardwood flooring , and is available at comparable prices. Even, Installation of bamboo floors is similar to installing hardwood floors, and maintainenace required is also the same.

Q12. Do laminate Floors expand and contract like hardwood floors?

A. Yes, Laminate Floors also contract and expand with changes in temperature and humidity, but within permissible limits in the same manner, as a well seasoned hardwood floor.
